Sadler’s Wells launches new film festival ‘dance digital’

From Sadler’s Wells Digital Stage & Studio, the inaugural Dance Digital film festival will take place from the 5th - 7th June 2026 at the Lilian Baylis Studio

The event will include a weekend of screenings celebrating the best in digital dance from across the globe, alongside networking sessions, mentoring with industry experts, VR/XR installations, talks, and more.

Sadler’s Wells invites filmmakers to SUBMIT films for consideration for festival screenings, awards, and inclusion in a curated, limited-time release on their Digital Stage platform.

Sadler’s are taking submissions for 5 categories:

1. SHORT DANCE ON SCREEN (Max 25 Mins)

2. SHORT DOCUMENTARY / BEHIND THE SCENES (Max 25 Mins)

3. FEATURE LENGTH FILM (Over 24 Mins)

4. SOCIAL FIRST FILMS (Max 3 Mins)

5. FILMS BY YOUNG PEOPLE (Artists 21 and under)

Submissions close at MIDNIGHT ON SUNDAY 22ND FEBRUARY 2026 with filmmakers notified by the end of March prior to the full programme announcement. 

Tickets will be available for the festival from next month (Feb 2026)
