having spent most of her life as a dancer, Art Director & Stylist, rianna irvine examines how the body expresses identity and emotion through fashion and movement with model and movement artist zara sands and photographer Lucy ranson.

A soft, pastel colour palette sets a tone of quiet elegance, whilst strategic pops of vibrant colour inject energy and draw attention to the model’s fluid motion. The images evoke a distinctly feminine energy, yet they carry an edgy twist - never fully delicate, never overly bold. The fabrics used range in texture and weight, from airy mesh and cotton to the sleek, skin-like qualities of latex, highlighting both the delicacy and strength in each movement and offering moments of visual tension.

This editorial explores not just physical movement but the nuanced personality of the dancer, revealing layers of vulnerability, confidence, and artistry. With a clean and soft aesthetic, the images allow the beauty of motion to take centre stage, where fashion and movement together become a visual poem.
