Featuring HomeBros and HomeFam UK, ‘Les Sapeurs’ explores the escapism and expressionism of the Congolese ‘La Sape’ culture in the context of East London, through Movement.
Referencing the environment and culture that molded them, this body of work highlights the importance of expressing yourself through dance and creativity; something that has allowed renowned movement artists, Kurtis ‘Kurtyswift’ Agyekem and George ‘Unkle TC’ Duker to break out their environment and ultimately inspire a generation of movers in their community and beyond.
